Justin Bieber Finds It 'Reassuring To Shock Parents' Amid Marijuana Allegations

But the teen star insists he prefers to obey his parents

Justin Bieber has landed in a lot of hot water recently in light of the allegations that he was smoking cannabis, so it would come as a surprise to most that he admits he finds it "reassuring" to know that he has the ability to shock his parents.
Sources close to the 'As Long As You Love Me' singer have allegedly aired their concerns about Justin whom they believe has been led on the wrong path by his rapper pal Lil Twist, who was reportedly in the hotel room where Justin was pictured smoking what appeared to be marijuana.

However, the 18-year-old insists that he "obeys" his parents Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber - even though he claims he doesn't necessarily have to act as the model son.
"I still obey my parents, but I don't have to. I could shock them too," Justin told Top Of The Pops magazine.
"If I really wanted to do something that I know they wouldn't agree with, then I could do that now. Somehow that's reassuring."
"I've become more mature and a lot more grown up. Normally I make good, sound decisions. You don't have to worry about me. My parents trust me," Justin continued.
As if the marijuana scandal wasn't enough, Justin has been faced with yet more controversy after his fans began a trend on Twitter on Monday, #cuttingforBieber, in which they posted disturbing images, which seemed to promote self-harming.
